How does Metrogel work?
This medication is used to treat certain inflamed skin rashes, such as acne and rosacea. It is believed to work by killing the bacteria that are involved in causing acne. It is not known how this medication acts to treat rosacea.
How should I use Metrogel?
Apply and rub in a thin film of the topical gel or cream twice daily, morning and evening to entire affected areas after washing.
What other drugs could interact with Metrogel?
Drug interactions are less likely with topical administration but should be kept in mind when metronidazole is prescribed for people who are receiving anticoagulant (blood thinning) treatment.
