Love on a Mississippi tour
February 4th, 2008People in the mood for love have caused a spike in east Iowa tourism. It seems people are discovering all the fun things to do in that area. The Amana colonies are a great place to take a date, especially for the older couples. There is a rich background of great food and it is a good history lesson. As you move east down I80 you come upon the worlds largest truck stop. You might not think of that as an attraction, but truckers are people too. Next on the way is the Quad Cities. There you will find countless things to do with the Mississippi such as taking a romantic river taxi ride. That is a wonderful trip on a warm summers day. In the winter you can go to one of the dams and watch the eagles soar and swoop down to catch fish. That is an amazing way to spend time together. The Quad City area is actually quite a bit bigger than most people think. There are a multitude of romantic restaurants and night clubs. There are several wineries around the area which is a wonderful way to spend the day with your chosen one. Take your time and enjoy that side of the state.
