Butter Cookies

November 28th, 2007

I used my grandmother’s recipe butter cookies with my children. They benefit from these witnesses so that we have greater opportunities than we do for them. My mother would only make the butter cookie recipe once a year during Christmas. We have also to cutting cookies for Valentine’s Day, Easter and the Fourth of July. The key to a good recipe for butter cookies is that the dough has a lot of butter and that you leave in the refrigerator for several hours, and preferably overnight. Having dough cold you can ride more easily without the need to add flour, which can produce a witness dry with little taste. According to the holidays I will use different spices to add to the recipe for butter cookies. At Christmas, I add cinnamon to the dough and Easter I add lemon extract. The key is to not worry about the mess and let children be creative as they want to be decoration. I found that if I cover their workspace with a table cloth cheap plastic sanitation is easy because I simply throw away the plastic when we are done. I also set aside cookies that I want Frost Force for the service or parities to take for different functions.
