Take your date to eastern Iowa
February 27th, 2008If you want to really impress your date you should check out some of the things that eastern Iowa tourism has to offer. The east “coast” of Iowa has an abundance of attractions along the Mississippi river some better seen in summer and some better seen in winter and most all good places in spring and fall. Summer is play time on the Mississippi with all kinds of fun water activities taking place. You can take a romantic boat tour of the river or you can rent a jet ski and make your own tour. There are countless places to explore either on a guided tour or on your own. Fall brings a whole different dimension to the area. As the days turn cooler and the leaves on the trees start to change, the riverbank is a great place to take a stroll. With the warm days and cooler evenings just enjoying the view can take up hours. Winter brings a soft coat of white to the area and different sights to see. One of the most loved sights to watch are the bald headed eagles that frequent the open areas of water. Here they dive bomb for fish and put on quite a show. Spring is the season of renewal of the land and gives all romances a fresh start.
