Religious Online Dating
July 19th, 2007Online dating is a new medium and some studies have had higher success rates in getting that first date than the conventional method of going to a public place and meeting someone. The success rate is even higher when you factor in the Christian, Jewish, Spirituality and other specialty sites which give the daters a head start on compatibility and a starting point for comfortable conversation on their first date.
However, whether you’re Christian or collect beanie babies, you’ll have better luck if you keep the first date short and sweet to encourage the feeling of the need for things to continue. Find the thing you have in common before you meet in person, so you have a starting point with which to overcome any awkwardness or embarrassment. So try and make the first face-to-face encounter happen within a few days of asking. You’ll be happier with each other if you do not let interactions get overly formal or complex on the first date. Being able to talk about the choir practice at church or someone’s bar mitzvah can make it easier to get off to a comfortable start.
