Unhappy relationships: Causes and Cures

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

The relationship that started out as the most wonderful thing in the world might have turned sour without you noticing it, as you one day realize that things are not as they should be. One of the biggest detriments in life is to be in unhappy relationships, as it can eat you up from the inside and out. What should you do if you find your self in such a relationship, and is it worth trying to save?

If you are experiencing turbulence right off the bat then there really isn’t much to consider or save. Couples that start out fighting just after meeting either aren’t a good match, or one or other, even both, might have issues that need to be dealt with before they can even be in a relationship. Calling it quits as soon as possible is often the best way to deal with this. The longer you stay, the worse it will probably become.

There are however exceptions, perhaps one of the parties in the relationship need time to settle, or perhaps you bring some qualities that can help him or her address the issues. But again, these relationships seldom last, in my opinion.

For those of you that are in long-term relationships, and are barely coping with stress and problems between the two of you, time and patience should be had to try to sort out the troubles.

Couples counselling is a common, but still under-utilized, way to get the support and 3. party opinion you need to break the bad habits. Unhappy couples are often the victims of their own, unconscious, habits that slowly drive the partner mad. Weeding out these habits, and of course learning to communicate better, is a great step towards turning around a relationship that is worth saving.

Anger management worksheets for children

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

Dealing with children who have anger problems may be challenging and require thought and imagination. A child’s mind is normally not developed enough to deal with intense feelings of anger. They cope with these emotions in their own childlike manner which usually involves acting out or throwing a tantrum.

Unaware of the specifics which cause these behavioral actions, children are not prepared to explain or share their feelings. Finding programs and resources for effective anger management in children will likely require planning and well thought out programs.

A person who is developing an anger management program for children needs to consider activities and exercises that may interest children. Sticking a child in a support group setting or arranging an appointment with a psychiatrist will not likely produce positive results.

Since the child doesn’t understand their feelings of anger themselves, it would be difficult to share or talk about them with others. Children would benefit from anger management worksheets for children and activities designed specifically to address their problems.

If there was one chief dissolvers of the relationships we have with each other as a culture, anger would be it. When we’re angry, we do things that others often misunderstand and take offensively – with good reason. It’s hard to explain away angry words, physical contact, or the throwing of items. While friends and family may understand, constant symptoms of anger can lead to the loss of the connections that we hold dear. There is a better way: in fact, there are really 3 major points to managing anger effectively. This article will strive to show these steps and tips on manage anger in a way that will allow you to make these changes in your life today.

First, the key to managing anger is to acknowledge that it exists. Sometimes we take so many steps to suppress anger that it ends up backfiring on us and gets worse instead of getting better. Realizing you’re angry is a critical step in the recovery process. Take a few moments everyday when you’re angry to figure out precisely the roots of your anger. What is it that’s honestly making you angry and upset? Often, what’s really upsetting us has nothing to do with the person or issue that we think we’re angry about in the first place. Many people have found themselves upset with a loved one, only to find that what’s really upsetting them has nothing to do with that person at all. Work and professional stresses are often sources of anger that find their way back to the people we care for most.

Attracting Women Easily

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

I have always wanted to attract women as much as any other man, but I never really thought of it as a skill until recently.

I got my share of dating tips from my older brother, and spent countless hours trying to pick up women in bars, but I never thought that my approach could be a problem.

When I got to college, however, I had a house mate who had a much different approach.

He thought of attracting women as a science, and he was a diligent student.

Get Your Ex Girlfriend Back

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

If you have just broken up and want to get your ex girlfriend back, the chances are you are running around like a maniac calling her all the time and telling her you love her; or you are sitting at home alone, depressed and drinking too much.

Anyway, neither tactic will get you anywhere in the making up game. It is a fine balance between the two that works best in the long run.

1. Don’t contact your ex as you want to make her feel like she made a mistake and begin to doubt the break up – so don’t call her!

2. Get out and get active, get fit and improve you mental health. Plan how you are going to get your ex girlfriend back – take action, don’t sit at home doing nothing!

Lack of Energy Has An All Natural Solution

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

I attended a seminar by a multi-millionnaire recently who told our group that he had met a young woman who was perfect in every way except one: she didn’t have any energy. She left him feeling drained after he spent time with her. Because the relationship was so new, he chose not to pursue it.

Amazingly, there is a solution for this. He didn’t have to “dump” her. The answer comes from the field of herbs and all natural herbs have been used for centuries to combat fatigue. One combination in particular is strong enough to help reverse effects of chemotherapy, the lack of energy, that is in cancer patients. See full article at Answer Fatigue All Natural

Can Emotional Problems Cause Erectile Dysfunction

Sunday, October 7th, 2007

Erectile dysfunction is frequently associated with emotional problems. About 30% of times the reasons are purely psychological – depression, lack of self-confidence if they stay for a long time may cause the brain to react differently on sexual stimuli. While some oral medications like Viagra, Cialis and Levitra may change one’s lifestyle to something healthier. Herbal supplements such as VigRX Plus serve to strengthen the body and improve cardiovascular system, improving the penile health. Drugs, alcohol and smoking worsen one’s condition to the point of reducing the erection size. None of that is exactly pleasant.

Depression Medication

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

But, diagnosing and treating a depressed state is still somewhat guess work, as there are no clinical tests or lab reports that will yield certain results. There are also different levels of depression and different illnesses that are closely related. Prescribed depression medication has proven to be effective and may sometimes be needed in severe cases. However, patients are finding that they can address the health of their bodies and the results affect their emotions and mind, as well. As long as there are no harmful or toxic levels of any natural substance introduced, taking vitamins and herbs that are good for the body will pose no threat, except in cases where these substances do not interact well with artificial medicines. Those wanting an alternative to prescribed medications can find more information about the herbs and natural substances that are used in helping those who are depressed online and should thoroughly research all products before changing a course of action or eliminating prescribed medications.

The Power Of Positive Thinking

Friday, April 13th, 2007

Though I can not vouch for everyone, I can say that the power of positive thinking is something that I try to use in my life. I had no idea there were books and specials on television about it. It was just something I decided to do about ten years ago. I was depressed, and felt like I was stuck in a horrible place in life. I felt like I could not escape. I was sitting in my doctor’s office crying my eyes out, and my doctor calmly told me that there is always a way out, but I would have to believe it. This was the first I had heard about the power of positive thinking, and I wish it was something I had known long ago.

There are also antidepressant medicines that are good for pregnant women, although many people do not feel comfortable with taking them. Pregnancy and depression can be a serious problem, but it is only a temporary one. With the risks to the baby’s health, although they may be minimal, taking an antidepressant is a risk that should be avoided. There are, however, many medically effective treatments for pregnancy and depression. Pregnant women can use meditation, yoga, gentle exercise, and a healthy diet to decrease the risk of depression.

Freedoms Process: Abusive Relationships

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007

If the person that you are bringing with you has been through a similar situation and can share their experience and how they escaped it that is often the best intervention because that person will have compassion and empathy that only a person who has gone through the same would have.

Please understand that I am speaking from a voice of experience here.  One time in my life I was in an abusive relationship.  It was horrible.  I lived everyday with my life in danger.  I was too frightened to leave and frightened everyday to stay.  One day I had my Granddaughter spending the night and he did harm to her, thank God it was minor.  I knew my relationship with her was at risk as neither her mother nor I would ever allow anyone to do harm to her.

We found out after we were married for a short while that we could not have children.

Depression Medication

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

When you think you’re having a bad day, just think about that kid in a Third World country who doesn’t even have a meal. It’s time for a serious reality check. Although I may not agree with all the statements Tom Cruise makes, I have to agree with his take on drugs to some level. Today’s generations take way too many narcotics to get by in life. Toughen up or find another way. That depression medication is not the answer to everything. One day you’ll actually have to be happy with yourself and move on with life.

Sunday, January 14th, 2007

Anxiety and depression are by far the two most common mental illnesses diagnosed in the United States, and probably the world, although there haven’t been studies done to confirm it.  They both can be debilitating in their effects, and are very difficult disorders to live with.  Unfortunately, most people with anxiety and depression do just that; live with it.  Most studies done of the diseases show that more than 75% of people who are clinically depressed go without treatment, as well as over 90% of people with anxiety disorders.
