Theme Wedding Dresses for 2010 Wedding
Thursday, January 7th, 2010Most couple often proposes a theme for their wedding. The theme defines how the celebration is conducted and the dress that should be worn. If you have planned to propose a theme on your wedding then you can find some themes here that will enrich you with certain ideas.
1. Medieval – this kind of theme is for brides who want to show the world that they already found their knight in shining armor. Alright, the groom doesn’t need to wear full body armor, but anything medieval looking will do. If you wish to look as if you’re a part of the medieval royal family, breeches and doublets should be worn by the men and Juliet-style dresses for the women.
2. Chinese – couples with Chinese background may opt to have a traditional Chinese wedding. Usually, red will be the dominant color in this type of ceremony. As for brides, they will have several changes of attire throughout the wedding. During the ceremony itself, the bride typically wears the white wedding dress. She then changes to a traditional Chinese dress during the wedding banquet. She then changes to her going away dress before she leaves.
3. Victorian – if you fancy wearing large hats, lace, corsets (for women), then a Victorian-themed wedding may be the thing for you. For gentlemen, they can wear top hats for that really gentlemanly look. Women, on the other hand, may opt to wear clothes with lots of lace. They can also wear corsets underneath to give themselves those flattering curves.
4. Japanese – you can also have a Japanese-themed wedding if that’s what you want. In this kind of theme, be ready to take out that kimono for that truly Japanese look.
If it’s an authentic themed wedding dress that you want, it would be good to look for a specialist in the theme of your choice. Of course you can have your seamstress copy a pattern from a catalog but nothing beats the real thing. Don’t be surprised though if specialists charge more, but as they say, you always get what you pay for.
